Zeits Mocaa Children’s Holiday Programme: Summer Palette Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (MOCAA) is one of Africa’s leading contemporary art museums. Although the museum only opened in 2017, the iconic Grain Silo building in which it is housed is over 100 years old and was the tallest building in Africa for many years when it was first built. The silos were carefully carved away to produce a breath-taking museum, where art and the stories from Africa matter

Join the Zeitz MOCAA BMW Centre for Art Education team for a bumper, super creative Summer holiday programme for children. Eight different activities will be offered this season at different levels of complexity to accommodate different skill levels and age groups, using a range of fun and exciting materials including paint, pastels, beads, funky fabric, felt, sparkly things and much more.

Workshops are offered to all children between the ages of 6 and 16. The workshop will begin between 10:00 and 10:15 and run uninterrupted until 13:00. Children may also take a snack break between activities in the workshop venue. Children are reminded to wear activity clothes, but aprons are provided.

Parents and guardians are requested to deliver their children to the Scheryn Arena on Level 0, after producing the Webtickets proof of payment for the workshop at the front/reception desk. Your children will be welcomed and registered by our friendly studio assistants.

During the workshop parents are invited to view our current exhibitions and/or relax in the Ocular restaurant with beautiful views of the harbour. Standard museum admission applies.
