Watershed • June – September
The Watershed plays host to a captivating collaboration between the Two Oceans Aquarium, Dylan Mcarry, and the Woodstock Art Reef Project (WARP). Marvel at the ocean-themed sculptures and printed art, and check out the magnificent crocheted coral reef. Crafty crafters are invited to add their own crocheted pieces to the reef!
June – September • UCB Plaza, Alfred Plaza and Golden Mile
Always look up! Platform Creative and Centre Design have reimagined post-industrial acrylic waste into handcrafted, flying fish that capture the joy and wonder of the ocean.
June – September
This light installation comes alive after dark and celebrates our ocean life.
June – September • Pick n Pay escalators in Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre
This eye-catching, custom-made trolley is suspended above the escalators to build consumer awareness around waste and conscious consumption.
June – September • On the wall adjacent to Mozambik and at the steps at Victoria Wharf Entrance 5
These nature-themed pieces imagine dystopian and wonder-filled worlds to remind us that only one world exists. Download the Artivive app to bring David Griessel and Art@Africa’s 2D-printed artworks to life.
Permanent exhibit • Swing Bridge, African Trading Port side
Look out for this sculpture by Artist William Sweetlove in collaboration with Art@Africa. Set on a bed of plastic bags, it highlights growing awareness and action against plastic pollution in our oceans and asks us to preserve marine life and embrace positive change.
Permanent exhibit • Clock Tower Centre and Nedbank
David Griessel and Art@Africa’s thought-provoking sculpture portrays a hermit crab bearing its world on its shoulders, symbolising the response to environmental pressures and challenging us to reflect on our own responses to ecological change.
